Laser Debit Card is your key to unlock the Irish market. Laser is managed by the seven largest banks of Ireland, and the day-to-day tasks are handled by Laser Card Services. With 3 million cardholders, it is the most frequently used debit card in Ireland. Please bear in mind that Laser imposes an online spending limit of € 1500. Should you offer products or services that exceed this amount, we recommend that you offer one of the VISA cards, MasterCard or other international credit cards, for example.
Attention: ICEPAY offers a creditcard connection for all Laser Debit by VISA cards. This means that you reach all cardholders with a Laser Debit VISA card and not all Laser Debit users.

The Laser Debit Card provides you with the opportunity to offer a method of payment in your webshop that is frequently used in the Irish market. Online Laser Debit Card transactions: How it works for customers
If you would like to include the Laser Debit Card as one of the payment methods you offer in your webshop, you must complete the general application procedure for Credit Cards (VISA/MasterCard) with ICEPAY. This application procedure takes at least two weeks, yet can sometimes take even longer. This is due to the requirements the credit card companies set for their providers.
For your customers, paying using the Laser Debit Card works the same as with every other credit card.
All your customer has to do is:- Choose a product in your webshop;
- Choose Laser Debit Card as the payment method;
- Select their own bank;
- Execute the payment and approve it via the secure bank environment and method of payment;
- And: the payment is complete.
Payments for your Laser Debit Card transactions are not handled by ICEPAY, but by our supplier. These payments are made on a weekly basis. If you would like further information on payments or the implementation of the Laser Debit Card, please contact us.
