ICEPAY will process this application for you; this takes at least one week yet no more than two weeks. giropay’s requirements relate to the type of product or service being sold. Some products and services fall under the "high-risk" category, and are not approved by giropay. ICEPAY cannot exert any influence on the giropay approval process, nor can we offer you any possibility to use this system in the event your application is rejected.
The following are considered high-risk categories:
- Adult: Products and services with obscene or pornographic content, the nature of which makes it illegal to sell or distribute them. These are usually products or services featuring minors; children or adolescents in unnatural and sexually seductive poses, or which are pornographic in nature. This is a violation of human dignity.
- Copyrights and/or intellectual property rights: Offering or selling products which infringe copyrights, other industrial or intellectual property rights and/or rights belonging to third parties.
- Archaeological findings.
- Drugs and medication: The sale of drugs and medication is prohibited, unless you have received permission from the German authorities to trade and ship medicines. The sale of medicines is at any rate prohibited if this is stipulated as such by law.
- Products that are subject to a trade embargo.
- Media which is considered harmful for minors: According to Germany legislation and regulations, offering or selling media which is harmful to minors is prohibited.
- The sale of:
- Human body parts and human remains;
- Articles and publications with national-socialism content;
- Protected plants and animals.
