Direct Debit Cancellation

A direct debit cancellation is when the amount paid via a direct debit/one-time payment authorisation is later reversed by the customer paying the amount. A direct debit cancellation may occur when your paying customer:

  • - Has an insufficient balance in the account used at the time the payment is presented to the bank for deduction;
  • - The account involved is blocked;
  • - Your paying customer has submitted an order to reverse the payment via his or her bank within 56 days after the payment was initially ordered.
